Average rent tends to fluctuate between £300.00 to £410.00 pcm pp but obviously this will be dependant on the location and standard of the house.
The location of Bangor is in the North of Wales and therefore the location is quite far North of Wales. There are not many surrounding cities however Liverpool is located around 70 miles from Bangor. Furthermore, Bangor itself has a train station, coach services and other transport links therefore travelling around Bangor is easy and there are great transport links for you to travel to other cities in the UK.
Car Parking and Permit Information:
Car permits are generally not needed in Bangor. Most of the properties in Bangor allow you to park next to your house or have off road parking. However, if you wish to park at the University then you can request a permit at the University, which is £35.00 however even if you have a permit it may not necessary mean that you will be able to park.
Living in Bangor:
The Student Union offers students a variety of five bars with three of these being within the Union. The ease of location of Time/Amser, Main bar and Jocks bar within the union building means that these bars tend to be popular for students. Alongside these three bars there is also George’s bar and the Fridd Bar, which are location next to other facilitates on the student campus.
Within Bangor itself, if students want to try out the social scene within the City they have a choice of Time, The Octagon and Joop. Due to excellent links with the University students can enjoy a popular student night on Wednesday’s at The Octagon.
The location of Bangor is rich with artistic charm and The main shopping location in Bangor are situated around the Centre of Bangor. The newly built Menai Centre in the City Centre has provided a more selective Shopping experience for those living in Bangor. Due to the close location of shops for students who are living in halls at the university you only need to take a short walk to reach shops, supermarkets and other services but if you want to just get a few items, Upper Bangor has a few facilities. Just outside of Bangor there is a retail park, which has a range of high street stores, for example PC World.
