Best Location for Student Accommodation:
Winton is one of the most popular areas for students with the majority locating a house in second year. The popularity lies with a very close distance to the university (obviously dependant on which road you live in!). Winton is a sought after location and is highly recommended for students due to the location and shops, restaurants and pubs on the high street – busy location.
Charminster is a good location if you ideally want to be the same distance from university and town. Charminster is 25-30 minutes from uni and about 20-25 minutes to Bournemouth city Centre. Charminster is typically smaller than Winton but again as a high street with a few shops and bars/pubs, good variety of student housing.
Bournemouth City Centre/the Triangle
Rent levels are slightly more expensive in town however in the heart of Bournemouth City Centre and good transport links to University and other surrounding areas of Bournemouth
Average rent tends to be about £60.00-£200.00 pp PW for a 3-4 bedroom house.
Car Parking and Permit Information:
Most student lets in the Winton and Charminster area tend to have car parking available on the road outside the house or some have drives. Therefore, most students don’t need to worry about purchasing a permit as generally the area that students live, have plenty of parking available.
