Best Locations for student accommodation
- North Crawley
- Further a field- Bedford and Milton Keynes
Generally between £60 and £80 a week per person, utility bills may also apply.
Those planning to live off-campus may need to use a car. However, as well as the commuter bus transport which runs twice a day to Bedford, there are various public buses which go to nearby Bedford and Milton Keynes. There is also a free shuttle service to Milton Keynes station, shops and the coachway, leaving and returning to the campus regularly six days a week.
Living in the area
Cranfield is an attractive village with a supermarket, shops, take-away restaurants, petrol station, chemist, Post Office, hairdresser, pubs and a church that is only two miles from the campus. Other nearby villages include, Wootton, North Crawley and Marston Moretaine. Transport is important to think about when living in one of the villages other then Cranfield as you will almost certainly benefit from the use of a car.
Cranfield is is also just a short distance from the vibrant towns of Milton Keynes and Bedford, and only an hour by road or rail to London, Oxford and Cambridge. There are good transport links from Bedford and Milton Keynes to the campus, so these would be an option for those without a vehicle.
