However, if you decide to apply on a temporary basis the fees are subject to change.

Living in Durham:

Durham University is one of the classic universities in the UK alongside Oxford and Cambridge, which combines “ancient traditions with modern values.”

There are a range of great opportunities and facilities in Durham for students to enjoy.

Durham itself is a very compact city and has an old fashioned feel, due to the old town aspects of the City Centre.  The majority of shopping areas are located in the heart of the City.  The Victorian Durham Indoor Market is a unique market, which has over 80 stalls for you to browse around.  As well as this there are two shopping centres – Prince Bishops shopping centre is in the High Street where you can check out Fowlers Yard Creative Workspace, which is where a number of artists show off their creative talents.

The nightlife in Durham is centred around Silver Street and North Road where the majority of bars are located.  There are a collection of chain bars and some independent traditional pubs.  Others bars can be found around the Walkergate Complex.  However, students have the opportunity to enjoy the Universities social venues on campus.  The student union has four bars, which are located across four floors with the Kingsgate Bar being the most popular.  Furthermore, students can enjoy the benefit of the four bars combining over the Friday and Saturday nights in order to enjoy a club scene until the early hours of the morning!
