Living in the area

Plymouth is a superb location for students who enjoy life by the south coast, in close proximity to the popular surfing locations of Devon and Cornwall. Some other locations that surround Plymouth that are lovely to visit for days off include Torquay and Exeter both of which are lovely areas with a variety of culture and activities that you can enjoy!

Nightlife
There is a huge range of social venues and locations in Plymouth for students to enjoy including North Hill, Union Street and The Barbican. There are a range of clubs in Plymouth which cater for all tastes. Many of the most popular clubs and bars in Plymouth are located in Union Street.

This is one of the central locations that students head for when they go out.  Some of the most popular places include The Warehouse C103 Nightclub, Oceana, Flares Club, Dance Academy Nightclub and The Candy Store Nightclub.

Local Shops
Plymouth has a huge amount of shops and it is likely you will be able to find everything you need in the city centre where the majority of the shops are located. The shopping mall, Drake’s Circus is probably the best known shopping area in Plymouth and has plenty of variety.

New George Street and Cornwall Street  have the majority of High Street stores located on them where as the Independent Quarter is more varied with everything from bookshops to boutiques. But, if you want to try out some other shopping location nearby there is always the option to visit some of the other nearby places mentioned earlier.
