Travelling around Aberdeen is very accessible due to the range of local transport services. There are excellent bus transport links with the option to walk or cycle around the City. There is a bus service that travels to both campuses from the city centre. There is also transport links to other areas of the UK as Aberdeen has its own airport. Secondly, there is the option of fast coach services to major cities within the UK and lastly there are ferries which travel to Orkney and Shetland.

Aberdeen provides a perfect mix of a cosmopolitan city and a busy social scene with an interesting and diverse nightlife but along with this you also have access to view a historic city with coastline sandy beaches.

There are a variety of activities available both in the university and outside the university. Around Aberdeen there are over 50 sports clubs available whether you play amateur through to a professional level. If you don’t have a keen eye for sports; why not join one of the 150 student societies available through AUSA.

The busy social scene has a number of key locations around Aberdeen to party. Belmont Street has a number of trendy bars and a variety of clubs surrounding it. Aberdeen is also known for its multiplicity of gigs and Cavernous Tunnel has a host of DJ nights and where up and coming talent perform on a regular basis.

The City of Aberdeen has a range of popular stores and shops, which are located in the City Centre. The Union Square is the most popular shopping experience in Aberdeen, which has a range of shops, bars and restaurants for you to enjoy for a lovely day out!! Furthermore, other main areas include Granite Mile and Union Street.
