The University is in a great location which offers a range of transport services. The University campus is only 5 minutes walk from both the train station and bus station.
The closest airport to Lincoln is the Humberside University, which is only around 40 minutes car journey from the university campus. However, the nearest international airport is Manchester airport, which is around 90 miles from Lincoln.
The Brayfoord Pool Campus is only a very short walk from the town centre and therefore you can take a leisurely walk into the town where you can explore all of the great shopping locations.
Parking and Permit Information:
Parking permits are available to those that require one due to restricted zones. However, a number of student properties in Lincoln come with off road parking. The current charges are £36.00 for the first permit and £52.00 for any other subsequent permits with a maximum of three permits per household.
Living in Lincoln:
Lincoln is situated in a great location near some fabulous northern cities including Sheffield, Grimsby and slightly further afield Manchester.
One of the great benefits of the University of Lincoln is the location of the campus which is close to the city centre making it extremely accessible for students.
The Brayford Waterfront Quarter is located near the astonishing Marina and is therefore a popular social venue in the evening for students. The Quarter, Steep Hill and the Cathedral Quarter have a range of both restaurants and bars to enjoy. Some of the popular clubs in Lincoln for students include Pulse, Sugarcubes and Castle Hill.
There is a mixture of shopping locations spread all across the City in areas such as the High Street and St Mark’s shopping area. There is a great combination of shops from High Street stores to other designer boutiques and shops. The location of Steep Hill is mainly known for its mix of independent stores with the quirkiness of bookstores and coffee shops located around them. There is one shopping centre in Lincoln, known as the Waterside Centre which has a range of popular High Street stores. Furthermore, in the Christmas period, Lincoln has an exceptional Christmas Market to which many visitors are attracted every year.
