Living in Warwick:
The University of Warwick is close to a number of popular student areas including Coventry, Leamington Spa and Kenilworth.
Coventry is the 8th largest city in the UK and is a great place to be, as there is a huge variety of activities and things to do for students. Coventry is located close to Birmingham and London is only an hours train journey away.
There is an array of music venues and clubs in the heart of Coventry. There are a number of clubs which hold student nights throughout the week such as Lava Ignite and there are also a number of recommended bars in the city including Whitefriars, Kasbah, Dogma and Browns. Other social venues popular with students at the University include the Student Union and in particular Cooper Room and Dirty Duck. Leamington Spa is only 10 minutes from Warwick and can also offer a fun night out with popular clubs including Smack, Evolve and Amara.
Shopping in the city is diverse and Coventry also has a famous outdoor market once a month and an indoor Market which was voted the best in the UK. Some key areas in the city for shopping include the Upper and Lower Precinct, West Orchard’s and Cathedral Lanes.
Warwick shopping is mainly located around the city centre in the Market Place and Swan Street where they offer more specialised boutique shops as well as the usual high street names.
