Living in Dundee

Dundee lies near the River Tay and is situated between Edinburgh and Aberdeen. Dundee is a fairly small city in comparison to those that are situated nearby. However it combines the benefit of a small friendly city with a great range of attractions and activities.

The Students’ Union has a great variety of events that run throughout the week making it an exceptionally popular social venue. However, there are also a number of other venues that tend to be popular with students as some of these also run student nights in the week. Liquid and Envy Club is located in the heart of Dundee and is a very popular club with students. Fat Sams and The Doghouse are two other popular social venues in Dundee.

There are several popular shopping locations. The main shopping centre in Dundee is the Overgate Shopping Centre, which is situated very close to the university campus and has a number of well-known High Street shops. There are also a number of shops in the main High Street in Dundee as well as City Quay, Murraygate and Wellgate Centre. Furthermore, if you would like to experience some shopping further afield in Scotland, Edinburgh and Glasgow are about 60-90 minutes away.
